Just months after several wildfires unleashed their wrath throughout various Southern California communities, the super bloom has arrived, bringing new life and new color to many of the areas that needed it most. Corriganville Park in Simi Valley is one example of how there is often light after darkness. Forced to shut down for months after the Woolsey Fire due to significant fire damage, the park has since re-opened with a new sight on display.
Corriganville Park, which was previously a ranch used to film over 3,500 movies, tv shows and commercials, has blossomed after the Woolsey Fire. While the expansive territory is still lined with burnt trees and bushes, the hillside is now decorated with wildflowers galore, and the poppies are plentiful. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the super bloom without the crowds, and you can even take your dog with you!
Accessible through the Loop Trail or the Interpretive Trail, the poppy display is just a short walk from the parking lot on Smith Road.
